Users security is a paramount concern for the Paw Pass Office. MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) is required for mobile use and provides a layered defense to ensure only those authorized to provision your mobile credential can do so (current students, faculty/staff, etc).
Mobile credentials offer secure, encrypted access via smartphones, combining SSO authentication, AES-128 and Master Key communication with the readers, and real-time lifecycle management to deactivate immediately.
Physical passes cannot be mailed for security reasons and can only be picked up by appointment at one of our three campus locations. Schedule your pickup here.
The image of the government issued ID is wiped from the system and not used/saved in any fashion once approved. You can also schedule an appointment with the Paw Pass Office to show your ID in person in lieu of uploading your ID to the application. All pass readers / scanners and any other associated technology leveraging or interfacing with the Paw Pass must be pre-approved by the Paw Pass Office, Facilities Services (for building access), the Office of the Registrar (for student data), and/or Human Resources (for employee / affiliate data) so as to ensure compliance with privacy, security, and other applicable campus policies.
The Paw Pass Office is the owner of provisioned photos. Photos are shared with the college’s HR system and used for directories or records. All data is protected information with many security layers to ensure confidentiality of personally identifiable information (PII) at all times.
Every eligible device contains an embedded Secure Element that has been certified to support payment, transit, and access applets from the payment network operators (PNOs), transit operators, and campus access providers participating in Apple Pay.
